flexible work hours, except for senior management there were a lot of decent people, nice office location

no communication ever, change takes actual years, this company loves to throw money away, terrible management, all talk but no actions, pre-historic tools and CMS, they are not going to last, they don't pay clients and freelancers on time ever and it is embarrassing having to explain that, they are also not a music company at all even though they like to pretend they are

The coffee machine is the best I've ever used. It's a barista machine! The work/life balance is fantastic. Very social and staff and very approachable and friendly. Lots of after work drinks, at work drinks on a Friday and everything in between. The culture is very positive. If someone makes a mistake there is no witch-hunt. Learning is through talking, planning, drawing and making sure we progress. I've made... mistakes and held my hand up and explain what went wrong and we move forward. Quite transparent senior management team. It does need to be improved but they are aware of this and something that will only get better. You do need to be the person that can get on with their work without people telling you what to do at every step. If you come from a very project manager focused, top down heavy background you may struggle, but the people that work at 7d like working there because you have the freedom and capacity to do your job, and not just be a typist for what someone in the business wants. You can real effect, real change and while your work is mostly lead by what the business wants or needs to do, you choose how to do that, not a non-technical person barking at you to type (as has been some of my experience in other companies)

Cons

2016 was a bit wobbly for 7d. A few errors where made here and there and the senior management team had to do some back peddling and some soul searching. Their biggest competitor went under though which just goes to show how difficult the industry they work in is. It's a young company, in a very difficult industry and everyone in the music industry is still finding the feet and predict the future. If anything 2016... was needed. They could have handled it better in some ways, but that's why we look back and learn, then move forward with new knowledge. I had no real cons when working there. Sometimes two halves of the business didn't communicate as much as needed. The Tech and the Business side of the business could be working towards the same goal but not talking to each other. Both sides I believe where as bad as each other and both to blame. Simon Cole (the CEO) did realise this in my opinion and tried hard, more then I've seen any CEO ever do, to work out what was wrong. There is still work to do on this front, but steps are being taken to resolve this issue.

Keep doing what you're doing. Increase visibility.
