Pros

I love my job, I’m treated as an asset and given a great deal of autonomy. I work from home, set my own schedule and enjoy my work. I enjoy working with people in the firearms and explosives industries.

Cons

There aren’t many cons. Money might be better in private industry.

Pros

Working environment, training, travel and career opportunities. Working at ATF, and with other government agencies is one of the best moves anyone cane make. If you are interested in law enforcement, intelligence or nearly any other type of work, it can be found working for the Federal government.

Cons

Very often, politics plays a role in promotion and other advancement opportunities. But, this is really no different than in any other working or corporate scenario.
