I have been working at Accu-Tech full-time for less than a year

    Pros

PTO if you're allowed to take it. I missed funerals, and almost lost my kids in a custody case because they weren't understanding of real life issues. That's 5 days in 7 months.

    Cons

Cons. No balance in the higharchy of the company. Your manager owns you, no matter how unreasonable his/her requests are. You will be expected to do 12-15 hours of work in 8 hours time. You will not recieve the proper training or understanding of any of the archaic 15 year old systems you are working with. You will be punished for system errors. Human resources are horrible an unresponsive. You will be punished for assumptions. No positive or negative feedback. Work is not delegated efficiently or effectively. You will be swamped your entire day, with no help while your boss shoves more and more on, every mistake you make while bogged down will be laundry listed and thrown in your face.. and you have to fix the mistakes without help. When you start, people will say run while you can, Do it. No one there is happy, everyone is scared of everyone.

I worked at Accu-Tech full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Almost no rules, autonomy to do whatever you want whenever you want.

    Cons

Almost no rules. No feedback positive or negative. Very little help from management. No career path. No responsiveness by management to suggestions or to feedback, they don't really want any.

I worked at Accu-Tech for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Good people, decent base salary, free lunches often, occasional fun customer/vendor activities,

    Cons

-Very mundane and routine, spend most of your day quoting not selling, commission structure poor to say the least, very little room for growth or upward mobility, pointless metrics that are monitored daily, the results of the branch are based solely on the performance of the inside sales team, if numbers are down outside sales/mgt should work harder to help numbers increase but they mostly were not around which lowers morale while adding pressure to the folks who grind 8 plus hours per day, direction of the industry makes it extremely difficult to find new customers, saturated market with stiff competition, this sales job is 100% a job one should take if they are desperate to earn a few bucks while trying to find something better.

    I worked at Accu-Tech

    Pros

Definitely an opportunity if somebody leaves the company and you are handed good accounts. As with any sales job, it is all about the numbers you bring in, but unlike many sales jobs, not everyone is working to sell all the time to new customers. Most of the salespeople are not actually selling anything and just taking orders for larger accounts for which they get credit. This is obviously where you want to be in the company, and some people just don't get that lucky. Other times, sales people from competing businesses are brought in and there are lay offs to ensure that there are enough accounts for these new workers. Customer service skills are crucial, but more importantly be sure to ask upfront about the bigger accounts before hire.

    Cons

Be careful about how accounts are given out and to whom. This plays a big role in your success. Be sure to fight for all accounts when hired as it is much easier to service them then to find accounts. Most larger accounts are not managed by the sales people who secured the business, rather they are handed to sales people based on the manager's discretion. The commitment of the managers is not for employees to succeed, which is understandable, and larger accounts are crucial for you to be successful.

I have been working at Accu-Tech

    Pros

Learn about new technologies as they come onto the market. Some great sales managers in certain locations. Have the ability to build your own customer base and pick vendors you want to work with. Can check on shipments and work with multiple locations to get things accomplished.

    Cons

Wide range of work with a lot of pressure to do more leaving less and less time to actually sell. Multiple systems you have to navigate daily that are slow and time consuming. Difficult bonus structure.

    I have been working at Accu-Tech full-time

    Pros

This place has free lunches, learn a lot about the distribution side of business, great benefits.

    Cons

Some of the cons include long hours, a lot of cold calling, and your happiness at work depends a lot of the team in place at the branch.
