Pros

I greatly enjoy working at AdMeTech. We are a relatively small team, which means you get lots of hands on experience and get to communicate and learn from our President and managers daily. As someone starting medical school this year, AdMeTech has been an amazing opportunity to learn from world renowned physicians who are leading their respective fields, and learn about advocacy work with state government. I have learned and grown as an employee here, and it has been both an excellent full time (post undergraduate) and part time (during my undergraduate time) job!

Cons

I wouldn't say these are "cons," but this job requires a delicate eye and sharp organization skills!

Pros

My experience at AdMeTech has been nothing short of amazing. I have learned so much about the field of prostate cancer. I have had the opportunity to review and learn from cutting-edge research, and continue to become more and more interested in the field. I also am able to learn about health equity in regards to prostate cancer and contribute to AdMeTech's mission of bringing equitable care to underserved me.

Cons

With the position being fully remote at the moment, it can sometimes be hard to see the effect the work you are doing is having. Even so, weekly zoom meetings give an opportunity to discuss with the team as a whole and hear about all of the progress that is being made.

Pros

This mission - increasing prostate cancer awareness particularly in the communities most affected as well as encouraging major players in the medical community to increase research in screening and diagnostic techniques - is fulfilling and the small-but-mighty team is close-knit and dedicated. With a small team, you are able to truly experience many aspects of working at a nonprofit and learn skills in many different areas. AdMeTech allows its employees opportunities for growth and to dive into aspects that catch your interest. The internship program is robust with most interns staying for multiple semesters if not a couple years as they receive hands-on experience with the personal guidance of AdMeTech's president.

Cons

As you'd find with any small nonprofit, there is a lot to do and not enough time to do it all.
