    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Advanced Hair Studio full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People who are going to work with you in the studio are nice!

    Cons

Management/CEO is delusional. Intimidating employees and making them go thru unnecessarily long skype ''training"(at times 5-6hrs in a stretch) and telling them they need this job to run their homes is hogwash! Salary cuts and cutting down incentives wont make any difference it will just hamper the morale of employees

    Advice to Management

Be gentle to employees! They are not working because they want to run their homes and families .They are working because they want to work.

I worked at Advanced Hair Studio (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - One of a kind brand with strong international presence and sphere in Hair replacement and regrowth industry.

    - Incentives are good (Above average when it comes to industry standards), hence good place to earn the same.

    - Training and opportunity to learn the trade is provided

    - Flexible shifts

    - One gets to meet/interact with the who who's of Corporate world, socialites even celebrities at times that a normal person can only dream of as they are a part of the company's clientele.

    -

    Cons

    - Polarized Management and their practices (Indian management is hell bent when it comes to growth of the company but is reluctant to acknowledge competition or to bring about required changes in their workings/offerings to counter them)

    - Hectic Schedule everyday especially weekends. (You will be working on weekends and most probably will get a week off on a week day, at times during festivals as well, no such thing as public holiday).

    - No per-defined policies for employees as far as their overall welfare is concerned, H.R is for name sake only. (For eg: Proximity to your superior rather than your entitlement shall decide whether you will be getting that sought after leave or not)

    - Politics (Every company has it but here its a whole new level to be reckoned with), you wont be able to work freely or peacefully without satisfying your immediate superior's whims.

    - Super High Attrition rates, Zero Job Security (Have seen people leaving or getting fired within days of their joining)

    - Simply no work-life balance (You shall be in the studio your entire working day with limited or no access to your mobile phone)

    - No career growth (Be it designation wise or at functional level, there is simply very limited or no scope/space for growth in the company post you join, one realizes the looming stagnation real soon post joining)

    Advice to Management

    - Kindly acknowledge that there is competition in the market and devise ways to counter the same instead of ignoring them & hurting the business and in turn people involved with it.

    - Draft H.R policies not only in paper but implement them as well. Give H.R more power as it will help in reinforcing employee morale which is always on a lower side considering how things work on a day to day basis, politics, etc. Be with employee once, he/she shall be with you forever.

    - Upgrade and introduce proper appraisal system instead of just relying on middle management's feedback as to how their pawns are faring (not the ones who are actually performing well in their sphere of work)

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

    - Training is fun despite being short
    - Clean and developed clinics

    Cons

    - The products you are selling are misleading. costs 100-200£ to make, and you sell it for 2500+ which is almost impossible.
    - Laser treatments don't work for all
    - Team at head office are very uncooperative and clumsy
    - CEO is delusional and has no managerial or people skills - Almost all ex AHS employees will tell you this. He makes working there difficult
    - No employee ethics at all - Will fire you with no warning
    - Use intimidation tactics
    - Lie to you about earnings, unless you are in London you will NOT earn commission
    - 56 hour weeks, every week

    Advice to Management

    - Get rid of your CEO or monitor the way he treats his staff members
    - Offer 5 day weeks /44 hours not 56 hours week /6 days
    - Offer an accessible commission
    - Do not intimidate staff/Make staff feel apprecciated
