    Good development opportunities.

    Cons

    Long hours.
Long walk from 42nd st. train 1 subway station.

    Advice to Management

Christina Panay and Torq Perry are very knowledgeable executives. I love working with them because they are not just good at what they do but they also really care about the people and the organization. I've never seen this level of dedication during career. I'm honoured to be working with them.

    Pros

Amazing leaders that are open to ideas, willing to listen and help you grow. Positive and inclusive culture. Continuous growth and learning. All employees are highly encouraged and given the tools to learn, to excel, and to succeed in their roles.

    Cons

Different lines of business do not communicate with each other.

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep doing what your doing such as providing full transparency at the town hall meetings.

    Pros

So many good people are still holding up.

    Cons

Employees are seen as assembly line workers. If one is not in a manager's good graces, that individual will be targeted.

    Advice to Management

Be humble. Get to know your employees strengths, weaknesses, goals and abilities in order to utilize each properly and more productive way. Stop treating people like pawns.

    Pros

Lots of changes are being made in technology and team leads are very knowledgable

    Cons

Since some part of the team is based in San Jose and some part in NY, it gets a little challenging sometimes.

    Pros

The people are the best !!! Always happy and willing to help. You will make some great friends.

    Cons

The technology is from 2000 and has not changed. They have the best data but have no idea how to use it. With all the technology issues they will never survive and will have to convince/lie to clients and investors that things will get better soon. One of the worst companies to work for that has no respect for its employees and work them to the ground.

    Advice to Management

Stop chasing the $$$ and coddling your clients, they will respect you more if you have an opinion. Once you do this than its possible that you really create a product roadmap as oppose to shifting every 3 months based on the client or the board.

    Pros

Great ideas... Not new ideas, but solid ideas. If they could put a real effort behind them, they'd be in good shape.

    Cons

Way too much time and energy spent in correcting avoidable errors. Superficial leadership that ignores the true problems of infrastructure, or lack thereof. Days wasted on meetings to hear an executive try to prove that he's the smartest guy in the room, and others on meetings to hear another executive complain about how much she has to travel.

Sexual harassment? Sweep it under the rug and get rid of anyone who may complain. That's the game.

    Advice to Management

Read above. Get rid of the archaic infrastructure that causes most of your problems. Stick with making things work for your existing clients before building your client base with empty promises.

    Pros

Very good people overall. Easy work/life balance compared with some other places I've been with. Relaxed environment compared to some other firms I've been to.

    Cons

The company has some wonderful people who come through, just as other people here have said. It is extremely clear where management puts its main focus. Do they put focus on the basis of their business that generates revenue? Goodness no! They focus on other projects while severely undercutting the departments that handle the basis of their business. Very unstable technology, even after being "fixed". Crashes a lot. Many workers spend time with mindless tasks that should be filtered out by now, but management does nothing to fix these concerns. Customers go unaccounted for in the horrendous process and people get very angry with us. Pay is mediocre but not terrible.

    Advice to Management

Care about your bottom line and fix problems instead of looking to blame people. Your business is on its last leg if criticism is not something you accept. You all can sure dish it out but you can't take one bit of it.

I worked at Affinity Solutions full-time

    Pros

Fun, young people to work with in a relaxed environment.

    Cons

The company is essentially a ticking time bomb. What seems like simple work for a client turns out to be a nightmare when the go live date comes. Blame is thrown around like a hot potato (especially by some of the more "senior" employees who fear their job security). Everyone is then forced to work late and receive little to no reward/praise. If you are on the wrong side of a certain exec, you're out of luck here.

    Advice to Management

At this point, it looks like the Silicon Valley office is your last hope for this company to ever be successful. Clean up the dated technology and processes, dismiss the disruptive/incompetent employees, and stop taking advantage of visa sponsorship to justify low-balling everyone's salary.

    Pros

Young, fun people. Nice people at the next door deli store.

    Cons

    - Technology is outdated. I would say the company is about 10-13 years behind the curve. This is a destructive gap in terms of technology.

     - Management is at best horrific and at worst very toxic and hostile. It is pretty remarkable to have your direct manager claim that he will physically attack you after you just saved him from being chewed by his own boss.

    - There is no direction in the company. Management gets hyped by its own ideas and they never follow through. Somehow you are expected to pull bunnies out of a hat with out having the proper support.

    - It is a constant, never ending blame game.

Folks, you can do much better. Currently I am at a six figure salary and I am in touch with cutting edge technologies, people with an insane technical IQ and a management which even though is very demanding it is also very supportive.

If you are a character of dubious nature you will fit right in with this company. If you have an ounce of integrity you deserve better than this company which is a road to no where.

    Advice to Management

At some point you need to realize that the problems with the company do not stem from the employees themselves. After all the fish smells from the head.

As management at some point you have to start taking responsibility regarding the state of this company.

But if this is something you haven't realized yet, it is already too late for you.
