Pros

There are no good benefits to work at this company.

Cons

I was hired for a digital marketing specialist position. For the job description, it was all marketing that I was supposed to do. For the first two interviews, they asked me the same thing over and over. After I got hired, I was supposed to be in training and during training they asked me to do the laundry for the company. I studied for 5 years at school, spent my hard earned money and how can they ask me to do the laundry. It was nothing related to the job description of being digital marketing specialist. If I want, I could have sued them, to the employment standards branch, but I didn't want to waste my time as I have other priorities to find another job. DON'T EVEN THINK OF WORKING THERE.

Pros

All-natural, philosophy you can support

Cons

They love to hire and fire. I saw about 5-6 cleaners fired for minor things in the short time I worked there, and they hire and fire office staff like there's no tomorrow.

Pros

- If you lack skills this is a place to start and add to your resume while you find another job - English is not required to work in the office and company focus on hiring and new immigrants. If you are new to Canada this is an easy door so you can come here while you apply for other jobs - Interviewing is very easy and chances are that you wont have much competition so you will receive an offer if you agree with the pay. You can use Aspen as a form of money while you find another job

Cons

- No learning or professional development - 9 hours shift and weekends - Micromanaging is the norm and there is a camara on every angle possible looking at you - Working from home is demonized by the owners so don't even dream about it. They want to see every move you make ( that's the reason for the camaras) - Peer learning and peer support is very poor as the people working at Aspen lack of professional experience and/or work ethic - Company takes advantage of people in need such as new immigrants - Very low pay and not competitive benefits - 200 dls on benefits. Seriously? - The company is very very small and have tremendous skill gaps among the staff and upper management. But in the end this is a cleaning company so you get what you are. If this bothers you level up and you shouldn't be applying for companies like Aspen
