Pros

There is tons of Flexible PTO and good company offsites.

Cons

This place is good to learn design if you are new to the field, but not to deepen and develop growth in the practice. Even though this is technically a design agency, leadership is years behind in what's going on in the design community and culture. The company will outsource employees outside of the country to work on client work based in the U.S. - and often times assign Junior-level designers on the same type of work that mid-level designers are doing which is a very unprofessional move. Leadership needs to hire employees for upper management not based on the company's financial needs only, but other skillsets such as soft-skills and cultural awareness. They need to hire leaders who know how to lead, motivate, inspire, and challenge. I have seen employees with amazing skillsets and experience put on projects that lead nowhere to advance their careers and have even left the company because of it.

Pros

- You work with great people who are helpful. -You get limited (unlimited) PTO - The work can be fun - Company trips - Free healthcare and life insurance

Cons

- Management doesn't make good choices whether financial or with work as far as titles go. Jr Designers do work beyond their pay grade and do not get raises or promotions. - Top Management is not diverse enough, the company is not diverse enough - Very unorganized when it comes to delegating work to designers and giving assets to use in projects - Laid off US designers to hire designers in places with low US dollar currency - Management needs DEI training - There is no set goals for moving up this company, people only move up because of favoritism - Giving false promises on promotions - Not allowing negotiation for pay, so instead they pay you under what you should make for your place of residence - Actually using the skills of the designer instead of just placing them wherever

Pros

+ Some bigger name tech clients if you're looking to expand your portfolio + Good work/life balance + Free lunches sometimes + Flexible PTO

Cons

- Desperate to retain clients and will take any level of work, will place people with 5+ years of experience on busy-work assignments frequently - Internal promotions are rare - Expect to meet a new hire almost every week - PM's micromanage when they don't have to and non-existent when they are actually needed - Obsessed with "company culture" ex: company outings, happy hours, weekly peer groups, and a myriad of other time wasting activities that don't aid anyone's professional goals
