I worked at Bevinco part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Mostly independent work with perks like free food and drinks occasionally offered by management at clients' restaurants, and it felt great to give them advice on how to run a more profitable business.

    Cons

Very early hours, not great pay, working mostly alone and under time constraints that could lead to errors and then more time to fix.

    Advice to Management

Pay people more and make the job more exciting and or interesting. It's perfect for some people, but it could be made better for the others, too.

Just meant as a transitional job not a long term career.

I have been working at Bevinco (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Semi set your own schedule with deadlines to meet.

    Cons

You have to work on holidays without holiday pay or time and a half or you have to work on the weekends to make up for time off. No feedback or encouragement. Promises made to employees never come to fruition. Whether the job takes you four or six hours to do you get paid same amount of money. Only 5 days off a year! Seriously, not good!

    Advice to Management

Recognize your employees and reward them for their hard work.

I worked at Bevinco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Behind the bar access to dozens of prestigious establishments. Learn what's really going on in the liquor service industry. That profit margin...

    Cons

Time spent in a cooler. Lifting and moving kegs.

I have been working at Bevinco part-time

    Pros

Growth opportunities abound, you get out what you put in so the harder you work the more you can get out of the business. This is very rare in my experience and it has a very start-up feel about the company.

    Cons

Work hours may not be for everyone, best for single people without children. Requires a reliable vehicle.

    Advice to Management

NO advice, it's been a rewarding job opportunity for me and my management team has been exemplary. It is a great job for college students with the right attitude.

I have been working at Bevinco full-time

    Pros

Work autonomously most of the time. No "set" hours as they change week to week unless you visit regular accounts. Some account owners/mgrs. are great, full of advice and ideas, and really enjoyable to work with. Job is only M-F for most.

    Cons

Poor communication between management and staff, convoluted messages from management regarding policies, contract is more of an idea than a set of rules to live by. Taking off is a hassle and sick days often result in guff. Pay is not what it should be. Almost never get compensation for travel (lots of travel). Far too many after hours calls/emails/texts that are "expected" to be answered. Little to no growth potential.

    Advice to Management

    See cons.
