Great department with flexible work and decent pay

Pros

This department is great. Everyone I work with is knowledgeable and self-sufficient. We are trusted to get our work done and there is a lot of flexibility. Pay is decent. I have had some bad jobs in accounting/finance and this is probably my favorite job I have had.

Cons

Other departments seem to have their own issues. We are siloed from those issues so I can't speak to them.

Remote work is great, but ethics are questionable

- fully remote at the time - low level management mostly good people

Cons

- advocated for sales by any means necessary, even if unethical - massively replaced real people with AI - little to no transparency

Talented teams hindered by problematic leadership

Extremely talented people on the product and engineering teams.

Cons

CTO has an Elon Musk complex or something. Pretty sure he also has a ton of money which explains why he's in the position he's in. Probably works between 10-12 hours a week.
