I have been working at Butler Machinery full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great life work balance, owners really care about the employees. Well organized and well run organization. Would recommend working there for sure.

    Cons

Expect a lot out of employees in certain positions, very fast paced and busy environment. Management can sometimes turn a blind eye to problem employees.

    Advice to Management

If you want to keep your best employees some departments may need to be reevaluated in terms of effective or nessesary roles.

    Pros

Pay is really great, and makes up for some holes in the benefits. Bonuses were also good, even if there was always a weird "hush-hush" from the management leading up to it.

    Cons

Management is always stressed about when the big-wigs are coming to town. Big-wigs don't seem to care at all about working conditions or skill-sets of lower employees. Awful employees are given way too many chances
