Pros

Excellent work culture. Team members and leadership truly care about serving the community.

Cons

Due to funding related issues, many staff members have been let go (RIF) in an attempt to right size the agency to be able to continue to serve the community going forward.

Pros

Meaningful mission, flexibility, benefits, relationships/coworkers, clients, independence

Cons

Salary is very low for how heavy caseload and other work is. Job stability is non existent here - all based on funding (grants, etc.). CICOA has done massive layoffs within the past 2 years impacting MANY employees. Leadership/higher ups like to beat around the bush and not provide full transparency. No severance payments and do not pay out full PTO once laid off - only provided a 2 week notice.
