    I worked at CalFinder full-time

    Pros

Smart and motivated team. High accountability and recognition of accomplishments. Freedom to manage your tasks and time as you see fit, as long as you continue to provide results. Good management, excellent vacation policy, and flexible work hours.

    Cons

Lead generation industry isn't for everyone, though this isn't an issue specific to the organization.

    Advice to Management

Keep the current culture as long as possible.

    I worked at CalFinder full-time

    Pros

Good salary at the time. Had a relaxed office culture and happy hour. Super cool people to work with.

    Cons

Ripping off our customers. I'm not sure we were even providing the leads we were "selling" customers.

    Advice to Management

    Keep improving.

I worked at CalFinder full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you have no experience and no laurels and aren't concerned about your morality, this place is perfect.

    Cons

The most racist, vile and unprofessional environment I've ever worked in. F-bombs all day, Immature staff and management. Eurourban. where psuedo ivy leaguers emulate urban culture and listen to rap music. Worst sales culture ever. I personally had no problem selling the product.

    Advice to Management

Close your doors. I'm glad you got sued.

    Pros

not many. they provide snacks? um... let's see... yeah, that's it. oh yeah, a dog.

    Cons

the atmosphere is what you'd expect from a shark tank type sales environment, selling crappy leads using unorthodox tactics that I consider disrespectful, while being hounded by a control freak managers who don't trust you, don't teach, and basically talk to you like a pack of wolves. It's seriously like a frat. I've never seen so much ego overflowing in a single office.

    Advice to Management

    get over yourselves.

    Pros

Only reason i took this job was based on the fact i needed to work. Everything is ok but there's no HR. So when that happens people curse at clients, since you deal with folks that don't have an education. But the manager of sales in Oak is great but the way leads are sold is just not on par...

    Cons

no benefits, shitty hours, no commuter checks, horrible leads to work with, cussing.... and not a product i believe in

    Advice to Management

Management is ok but learn better leadership, for the most part our main manager is amazing even at his age but i think the rest of the fellows should respect him!

    Pros

friday's they buy beer if there is enough sales for the week. There is a kickball team that they put together. You can be your self at the office, there is no HR departments so cuss words and unprofessional language is just fine.

    Cons

I wouldn't suggest working at CalFinder. You work your ass off and the pay is sub par at best. You fear your job no matter how good your performance is. The Client base are irrational and angry, which is understandable considering they are being told they have to suck it up and pay for leads that are clearly fake.

    Advice to Management

They need to be more professional. Some of them are vindictive and are on a power trip. Stop looking people in the eyes and lying to them, people aren't as stupid as they may assume.

Allowed to interact with other depts and upper mgmt
    Business casual dress code

    Cons

    Pros

Awesome management team knows how to grow a start up.
    Web team talented and bright.
Smaller company with plenty of room for advancement.
    Talented individuals to learn from.
    Accommodate personal schedules.
    Great team building events.

    Cons

Sometimes senior management goals and mid level managements goals differ.
Benefits are horrific. Worst medical I've ever seen. No dental. Only five days of PTO. No vacation. Few paid holidays.

    Advice to Management

Company culture is outstanding. If I could offer advice I would say to take more chances with new ways of building the brand. Also try to promote a little more professional atmosphere around the office. TONS of inner office hanky panky going on which led to many lost hours of distraction.
