I have been working at Cherokee Nation full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great benefits. Small nurse to patient ratio. when low census you are not sent home so you can depend on getting your hours.

    Cons

High volume of patients seen. Very fast paced most nights. Staff and patients with connections get treated differently. It is about who you know when it comes to getting a position. Some people that are chronically late get away with it. Others get held to the line.

I worked at Cherokee Nation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good benefits including medical insurance and paid time off.

    Cons

As with any government entity, simple tasks are slow and bureaucratic. There is always a shortage of staff which puts more on everyone else to do. Pay is terrible and because of this the morale suffers.
