Pros

Very fulfilling job, excellent courtroom and legal experience, good hybrid office/WFH schedule, flexible time off. 21+ PTO days not including regular holidays per year.

Cons

Upper/middle management (Director and PO specifically) can be overly punitive. Working with Children's Legal Services can be frustrating if not bordering ethical violations of their legal duties. I have been asked to lie under oath in court by a CLS attorney and no action was taken by my superiors at Childnet to address the situation. The lack of funding puts caregivers at a disadvantage and they blame frontline staff when the funding issues start at the top.
