I worked at Clean Air Power full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay was great but not worth the risk of losing your job tomorrow for it. If you want to work at the retirement club ho ahead.

    Cons

to many to list, everyone is quoting their jobs except management and some people that have no other option because they are not smart enough

    Advice to Management

Stop lying and fluffing things and make a product that there is a market for, your kidding yourself that the company is doing good and wasting your time on retrofit junk

I worked at Clean Air Power full-time

    Pros

The pay, benefits and working conditions are excellent. My direct supervisor was a great listener and was genuinely interested in working together to resolve any issue that came up. There was definitely a feeling of "family" and a duty of care with everyone there.

    Cons

Management seems not very well organized. This is definitely a case of too many chiefs and not enough Indians.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to be a smaller, tight-knit group that actually knows all the costs and benefits of everything we do as well as the abilities of the people involved.

    Pros

CAP offers a fair, low stress, small company R&D environment for engineers. The size of the company allows the employees to wear many hats.

    Cons

There is little room for advancement because of the companies small size.

    Advice to Management

    None

I worked at Clean Air Power full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I no longer have to work there.
(This field has a 20 word minimum, I'm just making up the space)

    Cons

The new CEO has no idea what he's doing, dreadful man! It's almost laughable. Hardstaffs riding on CAPs name in order to get grants/funding as leverage probably for when the business is sold in another couple of years...... Meeting rooms may have closed doors but your intentions are very clear.

    Advice to Management

Go back to management school and learn how to properly conduct business and management of a company. They sure have left themselves wide open for a run in with employment law.

I worked at Clean Air Power full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Salary is reasonable
Generally the work life balance is quite acceptable.
Located in a small town so commuting is not difficult

    Cons

Far too many managers and too few people capable of engineering a solid product.
Ineffective management coupled with reluctance of certain technical staff to share information create an environment where some staff are not being utilised to their full potential.
    Very resistant to change.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to do things the "big company" way. Get rid of some of the middle men and pen pushers and hire some people who know how to make a difference.
