Pros

Some amazing people work at CITC. Many who provide direct services are there for the right reasons. Too many success stories of clients in crisis getting jobs, housing, connected back with their families, recovery, and much more. If you want to make a difference and land yourself in a department with strong leadership, CITC CAN be a great place to work.

Cons

Too many to mention. CITC wants to portray itself as a company that treats their employees with respect and that everyone, from the top down, stay true to CITC's values of respect, accountability, interdependence, and resiliency. If you're under a great manager and leadership, this will happen. But it ends up being the luck of the draw for you as an employee. I did not land in a department with leadership that, well, actually knew how to be good leaders. When I would talk with my co-workers and hear about all the wonderful things their leadership was doing to support their staff, I kept being surprised and disappointed by the stark difference in leadership quality between my department and my co-workers. My advice? Stay away unless you can be sure you will be part a good program. And sadly, I don't think the CEO has any idea of what's going on.

Pros

Good vision and mission; great passion.

Cons

Extremely arbitrary hiring process. Org chart seems academic, as if it's a mere formality (at least in the recovery services division).

Pros

PTO benefits are better than I've ever seen (6.5 weeks PTO, 12 or so holidays, 1 month paid sabbatical after 5 years). Good people who care about their impact work here. My boss was awesome.

Cons

Some departments are a mess - constantly putting out fires, leadership maybe is too controlling or too detached. Really need to understand what your department and manager will be like before you take a job.
