Pros

CLD is basically a one-stop shop for pharma training materials. It was a good place to hone writing skills and learn about different disease areas, but that's about it.

Cons

It was very much an assembly line type of experience. You came in, wrote for 8 hrs, went home. Very little interaction with other employees. Writers were excoriated for the slightest mistakes. Not surprisingly, there was very high turnover in the writing department. Pay and benefits were mediocre at best. Employees were expected to show up at work during blizzards or be docked for time off. Very low morale. The graphics department seemed a bit better.

Nice coworkers, but no growth opportunities.

Pros

The location is convenient and you'll have a lot of nice people around you. I don't think the management is intentionally trying to screw you, I just don't think they know any better.

Cons

There is limited growth potential, no bonuses or perks and the pay is not where it should be. The workloads are not fairly distributed among teams and the hours are long.

Pros

Most coworkers are friendly and support one another.

Cons

Employees are undervalued and overworked. Employees are often expected to work long hours without commensurate compensation or even appreciation. There is no standard onboarding process. Employees are expected to learn processes and procedures as they go, but then they are often blamed when they are unaware of certain protocols. Internal meetings can sometimes devolve into public shaming. There is little opportunity for advancement.
