I recently received an offer from iProspect (part of Dentsu) I’ve heard ups and downs about this company. I currently work for a great company and not sure if I should leave. The new opportunity pays a lot more than I currently make. Does anyone have any advice about this company and whether I should take the job or not?

Amazing people, collaborative environment but a few communication problems

    Pros

    - Strong team - most professionals are extremely competent and dedicated - Collaborative environment - there's no such thing as a cut-throat environment here. Most people will stop everything they are doing if you need help or if you are trying to learn something new. - Casual environment - most youngsters take this for granted, but it is less common than you think. The trust level is very high - you are responsible for your workload. Completely flexible working hours are a big plus. No dress code, semi-flat hierarchy, and open-door policy make everyone approachable. - Well-established company - being in the market for 20+ years, the company has a strong footprint on its niche. Sure, casual dating isn't for everyone. But the company has made a name for itself. Overall, Digital Performance is a very good company to work for. There are many opportunities for learning, and the team is top class.

    Cons

    - Bad communication - Sure, there are all-hands sessions, and most data is available for all to see. I would say that communication here is way better than in most companies. However, this isn't enough. Repetitive restructurings last year left most scared for their future in the company. The company's vision should be clearer. - Multifaceted culture - being part of a larger group, especially as an acquired company, means that there will be cultural differences with other offices. This could be improved with more integration and clearer communication. Since many departments are now centralized in the headquarters in Hamburg, making the team feel they are part of the group's strategy is important. - Lack of feedback/personal development - since last year, there hasn't been a clear personal development and feedback structure.

    Pros

The people are the best asset of Digital Performance. They are nice, dedicated and willing to work.

    Cons

The management doesn't invest in people and wait for them to be leaving before offering salary increase.

    It's a sinking ship

    Pros

Great colleagues, who are still motivated to do a good job. Friendly admin and the usual perks like coffee, fruit, table tennis and so on. Nice office in the heart of Berlin. Open atmosphere due to the young staff and the (very explicit) product.

    Cons

Mismanagement from top down. No real strategy for the company or the products. This lead to a lot of people leaving or being layed off (a quarter of the company left/was fired this year). There is a lot of tension at the moment and no one is sure what will happen in the near future. There is also quite a lot of nepotism going on (if your friends with some people in management than you have a safe place - if not then your career stagnates at some point and you will most likely leave or will be fired).

    Pros

Flexible hours Great people (if they dont all leave within the next year) Modern infrastructure Freedom and independency

    Cons

No commincation bottom-up Feedback culture is a facade No sense of accomplishment since the next project begins before the other ends, and the first one needs to be rushed and poorly launched/tested because the next thing already needs to happen for yesterday. The adult vertical is not the problem, but the actual business model is questionable. Resistance from higher ups to change or modernize the product. Lots of re-work Stagnant positions
