    Pros

    Great exposure to very high level projects and ability to learn new things with each new project

    Cons

    Fast paced environment with tough deadlines to meet, work life balance is hard o achieve

    I worked at Double Helix Developement as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good boss. Very reasonable and always willing to help out. Casual dress code and flexible working hours. Overall a very positive experience working there.

    Cons

    More support is needed in terms of admin, personnel and responsiveness from the top. Small local team means that it is difficult to transition if anyone leaves.

    Advice to Management

    Play a more active role in supporting overseas branches.

    Pros

    Diversity of studies - ranging across different therapy areas
    Work requires travel to different markets
    Fast gain of exposure to both qual and quant research & methodologies
    Young and enthusiastic tea,

    Cons

    Balance of workload not always even across the year due to projects being won on an ad-hoc basis, can get extremely busy exprecially towards the end of the year
    Lacking in middle management current - causing strain to junior staff, and senior staff at the other end of the spectrum

    Advice to Management

    Invest in staff more to continue motivation and ensure staff retention
    Look to hire more Research Managers to make the team more balanced

    Travel experience, networking and presentation experience even to those with little experience. Opportunities for growth and promotion based on merit.

    Pace of projects is very fast--expectation to manage too many things at once.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing, and be sure to keep autonomy since the buyout with McCann.
