I worked at Duke Raleigh Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Felt that I had job security.

    Cons

Worked in the Duke system for 6 years. Left in November of 2016 to work at another place of employment. My NA I license are up to be renewed by the end of the month but my former manager will not fill the form out. I worked very hard to get my NA I and NA II License. I hate to see 10 years of hard work lost. Never had any problems with the Duke system until now.

    Advice to Management

    I have no words.

I have been working at Duke Raleigh Hospital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are a many benefits available to Duke employees. This would include discounts in home and car insurance. There are discounts at the outlet malls, cell phone carriers access to venues for hosting events.

    Cons

Staff members are very rude to each other and this trend is tolerated by leadership. There is alot of favoritism amongst leadership and employees. National holidays are taken out of your vacation time.

    Advice to Management

Nip the issues in the bud and Lead by example. Make an effort to understand what the day to day duties are of the staff. Once there has been an understanding of the roles of your staff then, you can devise a plan to execute the issues that are presented to you.

I worked at Duke Raleigh Hospital (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice co workers, convenient parking. Most of the surgeons are decent as well. I believe that the people working 'in the trenches' are doing the job because they love it and want to make a difference.

    Cons

Terrible management, No one listens to constructive criticism that could help the OR, management has favorites and absolutely abuses that favoritism.

    Advice to Management

Resign. Try listening to your employees instead of having your heads up the administration's butt. Stop playing favorites among the staff.
