Pros

Entry level job, some training provided

Cons

ZERO workflow which results in a lot of problems. You basically have to manage everything in the centre you're posted to. - Classes are very messy as they just pack students from different levels and subjects and expect the tutors to teach them all at the same time instead of grouping by level and subject - Boss refuses to invest in FT tutors and chooses to hire inexperienced part timers (mostly students) to teach up to 5-6 kids at the same time - No proper make-up policy for students, just throw them into whatever timing they can attend as long as tutor is able to take the subject - No proper worksheet/class materials for each week, tutors have to find themselves in a folder that's extremely messy and has hundreds of folders. Also the worksheets they provide are outdated and mostly stolen from assessment books, just slapped with their own watermark - Boss tells us to take every student that enrols even if there is no class available for them - just tells us to 'take and then open up a new class, we can find tutor later' - You are expected to find tutors for your own centre (isn't that HR's job?), even then, they are mostly part timers with short commitment period and as a result the tutors change very frequently and parents will complain. Many of the PT are also very flakey which results in a lot of last-min scrambling to find relief tutors. - No proper refund policy as we don't have finance team as the boss manages the finance part. Caused a lot of problems especially when it comes to students doing AEIS as they withdraw without serving notice All in all, you will be expected to do more than what you're paid so I wouldn't recommend this job unless you're a fast learner and can adapt to the environment, Also, expect to deal with a lot of unhappy parents due to the poor management
