I worked at Eleven full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place for writers to handle a variety of projects, office is nice and well kept, plenty of company outings or activities, and dog friendly place!

    Cons

Not a lot of in-house production, they tend to search for illustrators or photographers and directors for campaigns. Designers are few and underpaid, with not enough creative directors to learn from (most are writers, and the few CDs with art direction experience are stretched thin). No women creative directors, but an encouraging environment for women nonetheless.

    Advice to Management

More art directors and designers vs. writers, with equal pay will prevent turn over.

I worked at Eleven (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice folks. Great work culture. Full time production artists.

    Cons

Definitely a favorites game. No opportunity for growth. The work that gets made are mediocre. The past new clients they rebranded, look exactly the same. Only following current trends, no innovation. The briefs are a joke. There tabloid sized, 9 pt sized text, multiple pages. Too much politics in the HR dept. How about stop spending so much time and money on parties and events? No raises or bonuses for employees. After the huge layoffs, we were playing musical chairs every month to make the agency look more "busier" when clients came in.

    Advice to Management

    Stop hiring mediocre talent.

    Pros

When I first started vibe was great. Typical agency life - happy hours, fun events. When the agency was doing well, it could really be felt throughout the agency.

    Cons

Seemed like everyone had a senior title, with very few juniors around. It didn't feel like there was enough professional growth for those who were juniors. There was also a feeling of upper management trying to be transparent but it didn't feel quite real. Culture went down hill, but this could have just been a dip, I'm sure it will peak again.

I have been working at Eleven full-time

    Pros

The work life balance is reasonable for a company of this size. Not being owned by a holding company is also a plus.

    Cons

This company is changing, drastically. While everyone is very kind, the work is suffering.

    Pros

Great people. Leadership is focused on building the perfect culture for an ad agency.

    Cons

Business is subject to the ebbs and flows of client relationships.

I have been working at Eleven full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are here are great and it really does feel like family.

    Cons

Good briefs are few and far between.

I worked at Eleven full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good salaries and benefits. Great co-workers. Feeling that everybody contributes to the work being created. A culture of kindness. The founders care about work/life balance.

    Cons

A lot of politics, especially coming from the HR dept. Things have changed over the years, - so less compassion and more political. Some departments offer chances for advancement, but others don't. Definitely a game of favorites.

    Advice to Management

Replace head of HR. Don't waste money on things like bands and parties; put that towards salaries instead (or avoiding lay-offs).
