Pros

Shortly after graduating college, I began my job search. For eight months, I could not find a job. As depressing as this may sound, I considered changing my career path. I applied for a job with 1SourceVideo in a different department. I was called by the owner and met with him two days later. During the interview, he asked why I had applied to a job different from what i was trained for in school. I told him about the difficult time I had finding a job in the profession I had chosen. He said if I was given an opportunity to work in the career I went to school for, would I be open to that. I was shocked. He actually took the time to hear what I really wanted to do with my life. We then spoke about a job in the Marketing department. By then end of the interview, he offered me a job that will lead me to the career of my dreams. I have been with 1SV for over a year now. NOT A DAY GOES BY THAT HE DOESN'T COME BY, ASK HOW I'M DOING, AND COMPLIMENT ME ON MY WORK. I witness him doing this to most people in the company. I enjoy coming to work. I love the people I work with, and have recommended a few positions to my friends, and they are just as happy working here.

Cons

Lunch Break to short. If I don't bring my lunch, I cut it close going out and getting back in time.

Pros

90+% of the employees are friendly and work together as a team. Comfortable workplace (as long as the heat isn't broken for half the winter.) Very rarely have overtime, and the department heads always stay when there is. Open communication between all departments. Usually. Great health insurance if you end up in the hospital.

Cons

The favorite ones get away with absolutely everything, and know it. Constantly changing directives (I heard someone describe it as "you get told one thing Monday, a different thing Tuesday, a third thing Wednesday, then get yelled at Thursday for not doing it some other way.") Insurance covers almost nothing that's in between "general annual checkup" and "admitted to the hospital for at least a day." 0 dental or vision care. Three of the top managers are giant stress sponges and it affects how they interact with the employees, either in choice of words, volume, or both. Sometimes there will be shifts in how the entire company operates with little to no prompting; other times change is begged for but denied or ignored. You get told how good things are going, then suddenly we're way behind, but we're actually good, hey here's holiday bonuses, oh wait no we have to let go of several people.
