Pros
There is a lot to learn in the way of internet marketing, and if you have enough initiative and tenacity, you can learn some valuable information about the different facets. I stuck around long enough for that. Working there teaches you how to multi-task like no other and It is helpful in that sense. I worked with some really awesome people who were fun and nice. There are some people there that you can joke around with and let some of your personality come through.
Cons
Very underpaid and overworked; management didn't care and expected you to work like a dog, you're salaried after all. Having a 30-minute lunch every day was an absolute joke because, by taking your lunch, you were just ensuring that you had to stay later to finish your work. Did I mention that you're salaried and the work was never-ending? Cos it was!! The department I was in was overwhelmed, to say the least. There was a lot of unprofessionalism. Some of the people in my department got too big for their britches and wanted to be verbally abusive to you through email, in front of others, etc. Let me just say, that you never knew when certain people were going to have their bipolar mood swings and take it out on you. There are some people there who seriously need some psychiatric intervention. The supervisor seemed to think this was the way employees should be interacted with and handled. Too many sales reps and not enough content people to accommodate all the clients they were taking on. That just meant you had to do more over-time and not get paid for it, mind you, you're salaried, sucker. Management makes big promises regarding advancement and doesn't deliver on those, as you would guess by having read this far down. My guess is if you don't kiss enough ass, then you will be relegated to a career of servitude and feeling like a peon until you decide you can't handle it anymore. Turnover rate is very high and should be a red flag to the higher ups about making changes and cleaning house.
