Pros

people are awesome! company is trying to improve culture by building a gym, providing yoga classes, new coffee machine, etc. product is innovative and downright cool. marketing department is cool, production is cool.

Cons

Individual departments do not work together. you are literally fighting the factory to get your jobs made and on time. Sometimes there would be 6+ week delays and the factory was unwilling or unable to move up jobs even if it was a 3form fault. For example, you have a project and the factory polishing the edges messed up and burned it. So, you would have to remake the plastic, but the plastic factory wouldn't push through any orders because overtime hours would mess up their profit margins. You, as the direct contact with the customer, would have to deliver the bad news and literally get yelled at, berated, delaying huge projects and there is nothing you can do. project managers and middle management are not empowered to make decisions so everything has to be approved by the coo and cfo, who operate a good ole boys club with their favorites. There is no incentive to do the right thing for the customer.

Pros

The culture is built by its people. They are what make the company a nice place to work at. The product is interesting and the industry allows room for growth. The month celebrations and holidays are nice too.

Cons

Unless you've got an insane amount of value to the company, they will not work to keep you there. The pay is minimal and they don't hand out raises easily. They will drop and replace you with someone cheaper if they think it's necessary, or refuse to give a promotion to avoid paying an increased wage.
