Pros

They pay well, but it's easy come easy go. Prepare to walk on eggshells every day, and god help you if you have divergent opinions than that of the management, some of the people who were made redundant learned this lesson the hard way!

Cons

4Com as it stands now is not the same company that won the "Best company to work for" award. Look behind the smokescreen. 4Com won "Best company to work for" recently, mostly in part to offering major benefits like company cars for all staff and free lunches. When voting came around all the staff were "whipped" into voting for the company to win. After they won the award they cut the perks! Took away the free lunches and the much lauded company cars. They then followed this up by making over 50 staff redundant (Google for it!) , comprising of veteran staffers, individuals and their spouses and their relatives. Clearly a cold calculated cut by the execs. There was zero warning, no chance to prepare. A normal working day descended into heartbreak and shock and all the staff were collectively dismissed. My heart goes out to the family units left without an income in a flash of a moment. The fact that, proceeding their callous handling of the situation, they still laud the "Best company to work for" award to lure in unsuspecting talent is stomach churning. You should see their carpark after hours! Over 50 Audis now without drivers, the cars are eerily just sitting there deprecating, as a grim reminder and a fitting allegory to the managements ineptitude. The icing on the cake for 4Com? Their product, the "HiHi" phone, is an Android tablet. The device is utterly insecure! All their HiHi devices are delivered to the customers rooted and can be accessed via Google ADB tools!
