Way way too much micromanagement from higher exec and owners, salary not competitive and they move you around like if you are cattle. Favoritism a big factor on certain employees

I would like to take the opportunity to address the Cons posted in this review, and speak about the "instability" of 4IT. Since the company was opened in 2003, 4IT has posted a profit every single year it's been in business. During the worst recession in 80 years, 4IT did not layoff or dismiss a single employee, did not suspend IRA contribution matching, and continued to provide 100% company paid health insurance for all it's employees (a policy that was instituted when the company was founded). In 2011, 4IT provided an unlimited subscription for online certification training for all employees to utilize, and in 2012, 4IT added 100% company paid short-term and long-term disability insurance for all of it's employees. I will admit that favoritism is a factor at 4IT. Our favorite employees are those who are accomplished team players, and make a financial impact on the business through work ethic and competence. Our favorite employees are those that show initiative to improve our business processes, demonstrate a sense of loyalty to the business, and continue to develop their professional careers through education and training. Our favorite employees are not the ones that require micro-management, and certainly not the ones that agree to a compensation package, and inside of the first year, decide they are underpaid. I am very proud to say that the first 5 employees (not including the owners) that were hired by 4IT still work at 4IT, and the average length of employment for our 26 full-time employees is 4.2 years. Think of what that means for a company that is only 10 years old. New hires that are dishonest, lazy, or completely absorbed by how much they can earn for the least amount of effort will not work at 4IT for long. However, employees that are smart, ambitious, hard-working, and desire to work at a company that rewards them for effort and impact will find that 4IT is one of the best companies to work for in South Florida.

Pros

I worked at 4IT about a year or two after the company launched so its been about 8 years since working there. It was a small company back then so you worked directly with everyone - from the owners, engineers, and customers. There were immense learning opportunities and the company quickly grew in a short period of time - its still growing and was ranked in the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in the South Florida Business Journal. The owners are VERY HARDWORKING and this is something they expect and try to instill in their company values. So if you are a worker that does the minimum required, this is not the company for you and will not be tolerated. They have always had a vision and passion for growth since day one. The growth vision does not just stop at the owner's wealth either, their growth vision has always been centered around what they can add to the company to enhance its value, particularly its employees. I worked there for about 2 years, maybe less and still know people who work there and they are doing well. I have also worked for private and public and large and small companies and this hands down was the best small company I have worked for especially in terms of the leadership, environment, and teamwork. I look back and have nothing but good memories working here, funny co-workers, Holiday parties at the owners houses, dinners for people working late, and a very strong spirit of collaboration.

Cons

None that I personally experienced in my role working administratively from the office.
