Pros

Founders original goals and core values which included a true 'family' focused environment and an open door policy to communicate with Management regarding anything from success stories, family matters, to issues and concerns with their projects. There was a true interest in the employee's welfare and well-being, something that made you proud to be a part of and a genuine excitement to go into the office everyday and know that you are making a difference for, and with, someone that made a difference to so many. Amount of telecommute opportunities in the field of Professional Services.

Cons

Changes to core values and interest in employee welfare and well-being. All companies go through changes during growth but so drastic that the open door policy has become non-existent. I used to be able to call a member of the HR team for anything, now I'm redirected to call "1-800-....". 'Once upon a time' when passing in the hall there was a friendly "hello, how are you?", "hows' your sister doing", "did you win the golf tournament", "Happy Birthday/Anniversary", etc. to a simple nod of the head or worse, no acknowledgement at all. Growth is very good, especially when you have been a part of it, but with growth comes challenges and changes. Unfortunately, one of the biggest challenges is how is the change is actually handled, there may not be a 'right' or 'wrong' way but there is definitely a 'good' and 'bad' way.

Pros

It was a remote job of which is preferred, the pay was fair at the time. The BA's on my team were good women whom I respected and we still keep in contact. I loved the work and I was very efficient & productive. I went well beyond billable time, working long hours to achieve the project goals; this effort wasn't recognized or acknowledged. Yet, that was my decision to do so and I reap the reward of an accomplishment, job well done.

Cons

PM was ignorant of the requirements process and wasn't interested in understanding. I was treated very disrespectfully; her actions reflected arrogance and she demonstrated narcissistic behavior.
