Pros

This is a great job for individuals starting off after college and early into their careers. AffiniPay offered great benefits and perks while working here. There were free lunches and a fully stocked kitchen if you were in office. Quarterly company and team events were very fun. AffiniPay is a young company that makes it easier to make friends than at a bigger company. Cash bonuses and unlimited PTO were nice perks too. I love how proactive AffiniPay taught me to be early in my career. The interactions you got with higher ups helped you gain exposure into the business.

Cons

1. Pay/Promotions - Your salary is very low even if you come in with prior experience. With rising costs today, AffiniPay was not as competitive as they should have been compared to other companies. You could probably make a lot more somewhere else. Promotions seemed non-existent unless you are a crowd favorite or you are at a director, management, or VP level. Even at the annual trip award ceremonies, a vast majority of the annual trip winners were VPs, managers and directors. 2. Upper Management - While not all executives were toxic, there were a lot of them out there. I get AffiniPay is a changing company and they rapidly growing, but favoritism among upper management of certain individuals made it a toxic environment. It weakened my overall moral at the company. This is not all of the executive or senior leadership teams but there were a handful. With this toxic environment, it was hard to get your opinion taken seriously by anyone. 3. Culture Change - I feel as though the culture shifted significantly. I no longer I felt the close bonds that I once did before the acquisition.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We always welcome constructive comments from current and former team members. We strive to make AffiniPay the best place to work possible for all of our team members but we recognize that everyone on our team is uniquely individual with values and concerns that are specific to them. AffiniPay has been in business since 2005 and has undergone tremendous growth and metamorphosis as it has grown in size from one team member to approximately 500. We have seen dramatic growth in team, revenue, products and brand equity and much of this change has taken place in the last three years. Growth and change is exciting and can be fun but we also recognize that it is not for everyone. The happiness of our team is important to us and we realize we may not be the best fit for everyone at our current size. Thank you for your past contributions because they contributed to our current and future success. We wish you the best of luck in your new endeavors.

Pros

8am offers an excellent work-life balance, which is genuinely respected across the organization. The culture is collaborative, inclusive, and supportive, making it easy to feel valued and connected to your team. One of the standout aspects is the caliber of business partners; there is a strong emphasis on high performance, accountability, and mutual respect, which creates an environment where you can learn and grow quickly while contributing to meaningful outcomes.

Cons

There are limited drawbacks in my experience. As the company continues to grow, there may be opportunities to further refine processes and enhance cross-team alignment, but overall the organization operates effectively and continues to improve.

Pros

I started with the company in 2025. The culture is what drew me in, and from day one I've felt right at home. Leadership really makes an effort to make you feel valued. Everyone who works here is genuinely excited about the work that they are doing. The quality of the leadership team very high caliber! One thing I really appreciate is the flexibility. The FTO policy is generous and actually encouraged, which makes it easier to stay balanced. The work is meaningful and there’s a lot of growth happening, New opportunities come up, teams are expanding, there’s room to take on more responsibility and innovation is strongly supported by leadership. People who perform tend to move up and new roles are being created constantly.

Cons

As with most high-growth tech companies, some processes are still evolving, so you have to be comfortable with a bit of ambiguity.
