Pros

The best work environment you will ever find. 97th floor puts so much focus on happy employees through their autonomous work structure, high standards for hires, and amazing recognition and perks. They are extremely goal-oriented but urge goal completion in an encouraging and exciting way rather than stress inducing. Frequent activities and events break up the monotony of daily workflow and facilitate great coworker relationships.

Cons

There are two noteworthy cons from my experience. First, the pay is very uncompetitive even though 97th Floor is a competitively priced service in the industry. I choose to stay despite the disappointing pay because of the amazing work environment. Second, employees are structured into specializations, so there are some missing pieces in any given marketer's skillset. As a content marketer, I know a lot about customer journeys and personas, ad copy, content calendars, and optimizing content for search engines. However I get very little experience in running ads (advertising specialists), technical data research (SEO specialists), or visual design tools (design specialists). All skills that would be important to know if I ever were to apply for another marketing position in the future.

Pros

- Lots of autonomy and support from team lead - Remote work policy / PTO policy - Good opportunities for growth

Cons

- This could be a pro or a con depending on who you are, but work roles have strong boundaries. You won't be wearing lots of hats as a junior employee. You'll have a very specific role and not a ton of opportunity to go outside of it. However, management is willing to listen if you want to make a lateral move.
