Pros
This may suit someone who is comfortable with limited growth opportunities and below market related pay. Also, if you’re comfortable working at a revolving door, apply here. I saw previous reviews calling 99c “The Revolving Door,” and I had to experience it for myself. So, if you have any fascination with that type of door, apply here. If you are comfortable with brown nosing, please come here. If you want to work ridiculous hours for no compensation, apart from a free meal, apply here. If you have always wanted to work at a company that brings in people who do not have the qualifications or adequate experience for their roles, but who are related or closely linked to someone with a bit of power, and watch incompetence get rewarded, apply here.
Cons
From the recruitment process through to employment, the experience can feel disorganised and unclear. In my experience, there are limited opportunities for real growth or upskilling, especially if you are placed in rollout focused work. Once you are seen as a rollout resource, it can feel difficult to move beyond that box.
There also seems to be a culture of inflated egos and blurred responsibilities, especially within traffic management and middle management. Some traffic managers and group heads appear to have very little understanding of the roles they are overseeing, yet still have a strong influence over the work, expectations and team dynamics. This creates unnecessary friction, poor direction and a sense that authority is not always backed by actual competence.
Professionalism is another concern. I experienced poor attitudes, little grace or decorum, and a general sense that unprofessional behaviour is often allowed to slide. Overall, the culture felt monotonous, poorly managed and lacking in accountability.
