No clear opportunities for advancement, pay raise, etc outside of universal pay rate increases, which also means no incentive to stay long term or have this be a primary source of income. Tutoring opportunities fluctuate widely, so no guarantee of hours week to week. Should be treated as a side hustle and not a true employment opportunity. Also, you will have to pay for livescan out of pocket, and no reimbursement for time spent generating invoices, communicating with parents, driving to students, or preparing for sessions.
