Away from home long periods of time 2 to 3 weeks usually. Can be hard on family life. A lot of down time when not driving.

Pros

Traveling the nation every day. Potential to indeed make money if you start out ahead with your own money and not need to take loans (with interest) from the company.

Cons

So I moved forward with this company and being excited to get started. I only made it through orientation. In the company/job overview I found out that the 1099 driver pays for all of the fuel, fluids, tire repair, tires. You also are essentially responsible for paying for the liability insurance on the van. In addition there are numerous other unnecessarily potential charges that you could face. All I mostly have to say is go to the orientation and read all the paperwork extremely carefully before you move forward. Oh and there is a loan system that this company does offer you but be careful about this and make sure you assess this extremely carefully as well.
