Pros

Benefits are the only pro, pretty generous PTO & great pension plan, flexible hybrid work schedule

Cons

Where do I begin? This place does not show their employees any loyalty. People who have been here many years get brushed to the side, little to no recognition for their hard work, & extra workload for no promotion or bump in compensation. The management is terrible. They are micro-managers who feel the need to belittle others to get their way. Leadership has a clique & if you are not part of the clique, good luck… Extremely high turnover rate that they refuse to address to staff. Many open positions, but somehow no room for growth for remaining staff. While the benefits are good, salary is very below average. Hybrid work schedule is nice, but seems like another way for management to have more eyes on staff. We did our jobs perfectly for almost 2 years at home during the pandemic.

Pros

The institution has gone through some major changes, including leadership and staff changeover. The current team seems to be in a good position to continue on an upward path.

Cons

With the changeover, there are some issues with documentation which leads to reinventing some things from the ground up.

Pros

The recent leadership changes are set to bring significant positive transformations to the association and its members. Previously, the organization was becoming stagnant and losing relevance, but the new direction promises a revitalizing turnaround. Additionally, the team members are fantastic and create a supportive environment, making it easier to navigate the challenging aspects of the work. It took considerable thought and resistance for me to decide to leave because I truly support the organization's mission and direction. However, my departure is motivated by a need to find a better work-life balance.

Cons

Change is inherently challenging, and the ongoing efforts to rebuild the brand and culture have caused and will likely continue to cause some friction among people, departments, and policies. The organization is becoming a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, which can impact work-life balance. Despite this, I am confident that these efforts will ultimately lead to a stronger and more cohesive organization.
