Pros
The product (a veterinary pharmaceutical) is legitimately terrific, so it's easy to sell. You meet some wonderful people through your work.
Cons
The president is horrible at sales management. Every week he would try a gimmick with the team he probably read about on some mgmt blog. Awfully cheap, encouraged reps to stay in roach motels to save $5 a night. Pressured reps to move closer to center of their region, even after initial denials that would be a requirement. President seemed more concerned with building his own reputation by hosting large CE dinners with minimal returns, and having reps dedicate much time to planning these dinners. No inside sales presence, the president brought on an ISR who essentially acted as a glorified secretary who did nothing to generate leads, schedule meetings, or anything else to assist the outside reps.
