Pros
ADG is a jewel of creativity in a sea of mediocrity, and the CEO is a visionary. Here, you will see wonders. The social culture inside is second to none, and the perks of working in such a place are unmatched.
Cons
For the first time in my life, I was completely devoted to a company. I drank the kool-aid, I believed in what ADG was trying to do, and I was determined to be in it for the long haul. I told myself that the complaints and firings were before my time; a thing of the past and we were taking the company to a bright new future. Then it was my turn. No warning. No real explanation (I was given a reason, but it was clearly a fabrication), I could only assume that it was politically motivated. I rubbed someone the wrong way, or made someone feel threatened, and they arranged for me to be shown the door. I did get a fair severance package, along with the standard hush-your-face-or-pay-it-back form. I'm not really bitter, so much as I am just sad. I really believed in you, Jeff. I would have broken my back for ADG, but it broke my heart instead.
