Pros

- Generally perceived as having a good reputation within the industry

Cons

- Toxic culture, no support, or mentorship - Management is after quantity of clients rather than quality - Terrible salary, underpay their employees - Management will never tell you, that you are doing a good job. Only focus on your negatives. No career progression - Having to overwork till you feel burnt out & management are quick to throw you under the bus if a problem arises

Pros

My recent internship at AMPR was an incredible experience, both professionally and personally. I gained valuable hands-on experience working across a range of real-world clients and events, and learnt so much along the way. The Sydney girls were so welcoming, supportive, and made me feel like a genuine part of the team throughout my time there. Overall such a worthwhile and valuable experience!

Cons

To do this internship you need to be completing a university subject which may limit some people wanting to get into the industry. The office is not in the CBD which may be inconvenient for some!

Pros

AMPR Sydney was an amazing place to intern - the team is incredibly creative, welcoming, and generous with their time and knowledge. I was given real insight into how PR campaigns are run from start to finish, and trusted with meaningful tasks that helped build my confidence and skills. The workplace culture is friendly, creative, and fast-paced, which made every day interesting and inspiring. The girls their are hilarious, they won't make you feel like an intern but a friend. They take the time to explain not just what to do, but why you're doing it — something that’s often overlooked in internships. If you show interest or ask to learn something new, they’ll make the effort to involve you.

Cons

The internship needs to align with your university timetable, so if you're on a trimester system (like I was), the experience can feel quite short.
