Pros

Okay if you are a fresh grad and wants to gain experience and knowledge for construction. They do care for employees and you can feel that top management/owners are genuine.

Cons

Fast paced environment and would not recommend to engineers who prioritize career progression. Salary adjustments are slow and you'll end up with a pile of task due to poor planning of some leaders. Multiple team meetings take up too much of your time that in the end you don't have any time left to actually do the task you need. It also lacks structure and wasn't as systemized as you thought it would be. There is a lot of lack of process or outdated process that is slow in progress but definitely makes tasks super repetitive and sometimes unnecessary. Turnover rates is also high for both office and field engineer which causes delays and "lost in the process" moments. You have to navigate your way to your own tasks most of the time due to lack of accountability of some incompetent employees.

Pros

One thing I really appreciated about APEC Homes is how welcoming the environment is. Even as a new employee, I never felt out of place and adjusting was not difficult at all. I learned a lot during my stay in the company, especially from working closely with leaders and management. If you are willing to learn and take initiative, there are really a lot of opportunities to grow professionally. The company also has programs that monitor employee growth and development, especially for those considered for promotion. Management is very approachable and down to earth. I genuinely felt that they cared about the welfare of their employees and tried their best to support the team.

Cons

Since the company focuses more on low-cost housing, salary packages are not as competitive compared to other companies in the industry. Although the company offers comprehensive benefits, some of them are more beneficial for employees with families. There’s limited paid time off credits as well and no dependent coverage for the health card. The 6-day work week and strict work-from-home policy can also be challenging, especially for employees looking for better work-life balance and flexibility.
