      Pros

      Some of the people who work there still have integrity. Also working with brilliant minds in education

      Cons

      So much to say! This organization has an integrity problem, and their current upper management appears to be incompetent and hold bias views . The merger with ISTE won’t work either, because ASCD can’t play well with others. It’s been about 18 months since the last round of lay offs so I suspect another round is coming soon!

      Empowerment and autonomy with great teams to work with

      Cons

      Executive team does not know how to lead, retain a profitable business, and grow the business. ISTE took over ASCD and essentially burned through all of their profits and ended up letting many employees go as there were no profits
