Cons

I am a filmmaker in the UAE with seven years of experience, during which I have collaborated with many bands and advertising agencies. www.linkedin.com/in/ebin-mjose-62a84a30 My time at Astudio has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share the reasons behind my decision to leave. Amateurish Work Environment: Astudio claims to be a professional video production company, but my experience suggests otherwise. Throughout my tenure, it became evident that there was a severe lack of video production work. The company have finger counting clients for social media projects, which hardly provided the kind of experience and exposure I was promised. Visa Processing Nightmare: Astudio's visa processing system is a complete mess. What's worse, upon joining, we were coerced into signing a non-offer letter agreement that stipulated if we resigned, we would be responsible for covering the expenses of the visa processing. This was an unfair and unprofessional practice. Toxic Colleague Environment: The work culture at Astudio is incredibly toxic. Colleagues were consistently rude and non-adjustable. It was an environment that fostered hostility rather than collaboration and teamwork & raging too same like college times Unprofessional Boss: The main role in an ad agency is the Creative Director, but it seems that they are deviating from their primary responsibilities by acting like an IT person and introducing software & no creativity direction. His behavior was nothing short of appalling. He displayed a complete lack of professionalism, often treating employees like slaves. His rudeness and disrespect for the team were intolerable (personal experience) No Compensation Upon Resignation: To add insult to injury, if an employee chose to resign, Astudio had a policy of not providing any compensation or benefits accrued during their working days. This further discouraged and demoralized employees who were already enduring an awful work environment. Lack of Technical Knowledge: Astudio boasted about staying updated with industry standards and equipment, but in reality, the company lacked the technical knowledge and competence needed to fulfill this promise. Efforts to update standards and equipment were superficial at best. Overall Lack of Integrity: My experience at Astudio has left me with the impression that the company lacks integrity. The promises made during the hiring process were empty, and the reality of the workplace was a far cry from what was advertised. In conclusion, my time at Astudio has been nothing short of a disastrous and demoralizing experience. I believe that the issues I've highlighted are indicative of a deeply dysfunctional and unprofessional work environment. It is with a heavy heart and a desire for a better professional life that I have chosen to resign from Astudio.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. It’s disappointing that your short tenure with ASTUDIO didn’t meet your expectations, and we’d like to address some of the points you raised. 1. Short Tenure: You were with us for only three weeks, which is a brief period to fully immerse in the projects and understand the depth of our operations. During this time, you were still undergoing training, which is why you might not have been immediately assigned to our top clients. 2. Client List and Projects: A quick glance at our client list—which includes prestigious names like Bvlgari, Valentino, Tag Heuer, Elie Saab, and Jo Malone—shows the caliber of work we do at ASTUDIO. These partnerships and the numerous awards we’ve garnered are a testament to our commitment to excellence and creativity in the luxury space. 3. Creative Direction: Our CEO’s involvement in both the creative and technical aspects is precisely what drives the success of these high-profile collaborations. His vision and leadership are key reasons why leading luxury brands choose to work with us. 4. Professional Environment: We pride ourselves on maintaining a professional and collaborative work environment. Any issues with team dynamics should ideally be addressed through HR, which is always available to support our employees. It’s important to remember that ASTUDIO is a fast-paced, high-intensity environment that isn’t for everyone. We set high standards to maintain our position as the leading luxury digital agency in the Middle East. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope you find a workplace that aligns with your expectations.

Pros

Campaigns from here are still first thing I show in interviews. Took my opinion seriously even above my pay grade.

Cons

Growing fast, behind the scenes catching up. High expectations, suits some more than others.
