Pros

I could say it was remote, but every day they forced us to "happily" join to on-site activities. It has English classes for the Peruvian office, but my teacher specifically was pretty bad Some nice talented people

Cons

The culture is a joke, what it seems to be at the USA, is different, even for the values they expect at Peru. The standard for excellence is pretty low. They had overlapped roles that generate confusion but also does not help to continue the conversation. Every crucial conversion hold as a battle between QA, development, and product. Managers season this state with their blurry lines, the tendency to gossip and lack of professionalism. At the USA process don't have a nearly real process of design centered in users. It is up to your head, like if it is 2003 or something. They don't even consider data or product validation. They waste your money for months. Have a culture of blame. It's not accountability where you held responsibly. It is "blame" where you're held guilty for products. Some talented bullies doing moving to the people Not a career path in development Not mentoring program for juniors, everyone is "senior" somehow They played the fool card on harassment and even didn't get to talk to the victim appropriately.

Pros

Pay was generous and fringe benefits were great. Remote work, no ridiculous hybrid schedules. Intelligent, caring colleagues. Used to have a great culture.

Cons

Could see the downward trajectory coming a mile away. From a business standpoint, there was a lack of legit new business pipeline that was apparent in 2023. From a culture standpoint, it appeared to unravel rapidly in 2023. Heavy bro culture, misogyny is rather insidious. This reflects Andy’s “leadership” which also explains the culture eroding. Chasing VC firms was a poor growth strategy. It has and will continue to have a negative effect on the company. The lack of accountability for this strategy speaks volumes. With Mike not involved, the company is like the Titanic. Mike is a true leader whereas Andy is not. Andy will end up running the company into the ground.
