Pros

The work itself is genuinely interesting, especially if you're excited about robotics and innovative technology. There are opportunities to contribute to projects and gain exposure to different aspects of a growing company. The office offers free parking, is conveniently located near restaurants and amenities, and the small team environment can provide broad exposure to the business.

Cons

The workplace culture felt highly focused on optics and perception rather than employee well-being. I was told by a manager that "everyone is watching; optics are everything," which created an atmosphere where employees often felt scrutinized. Work-life balance was poor, with meetings occurring outside regular business hours, including as late as 10:45 p.m. on a Sunday. One colleague described working at Able as, "It's Monday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, sometimes Saturday," which reflected the expectation of long hours and the difficulty many employees had maintaining work-life balance. Processes, expectations, and policies were often unclear, making it difficult to understand priorities and succeed consistently. Turnover in this role appeared high during my time there, and a noticeable collection of former employee access badges was commonly referred to as the "graveyard." While the company presents itself as friendly and collaborative, my experience was that it could be a demanding and unforgiving environment.
