Pros

Nice at the beginning, support is there to begin with

Cons

No formal training - you're just expected to know what to do and the manual they send you is vague. Agency fee is $24 an hour, not including insurance as this is an extra $4 per job! For a $82, 2 hour clean, you're left with less than $30 if you factor in cleaning tools and travel and tax. That's less than minimum wage. No vetting of clients. Just 2 hour clean for any size of house is the expectation, so would often turn up at a house with 6+ bedrooms all with ensuites and expect me to deep clean everything in 2 hours including biohazards, no PPE supplied. Very little support there, you're just expected to do your job or you're at risk of being suspended. If you pay your fees late, they threaten you with legal action when, to be fair they should be taken to court for expecting people to work for slave wages to clean biohazards.

Absolute Domestics Response

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Glassdoor. We always value honest reviews as they help us improve our service and support to our cleaners. I'd like to clarify a few points mentioned in your review: Training Orientation: We do offer cleaner training orientation days in multiple states. However, it's possible that these locations might not be within a convenient radius for all our cleaners. We're continuously working to expand the reach of our training programs to accommodate more of our contractors, and are looking to offer online orientations in the coming months. Agency Fee and Insurance Costs: Regarding the agency fee and insurance costs, there seems to be a slight misunderstanding. The agency fee is actually $22-$23 per hour, not $24, and this fee is paid by the client, separate from the contractor's hourly rate. As for the insurance, it is $2 per job, not $4. This insurance provides our contractors with public liability and personal accident coverage, a benefit not commonly offered by other agencies. If a cleaner were to obtain this insurance independently, the cost would be considerably higher. Hourly Rate and Earnings: Even after deducting the insurance cost from the payment, our cleaners still receive an hourly rate that is above the award wage for cleaners. We understand your concerns regarding net earnings after considering expenses like cleaning tools, travel, and tax. We are constantly looking for ways to ensure our contractors are fairly compensated for their hard work. Handling of Fee Payments and Support: We understand your concerns regarding the handling of late fee payments and the level of support provided. We aim to maintain a fair and supportive environment for all our contractors. Your feedback is crucial for us to review and improve our processes in this area. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we are committed to making improvements based on your feedback. Our goal is to ensure a positive and supportive working environment for all our cleaning contractors. If you have any further concerns or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to our support team. We're here to help! Kindest Regards, Absolute Domestics
