Pros
The revamped direction was getting the company back on track. There was a new vibe and momentum getting the company noticed by new customers and the customer base. New Marketing people, message was awesome, new sales people who knew how to sell and great support from sales management.
Cons
CEO's ego and posturing with the BOD kept the company from succeeding. The CEO's lack luster performance didn't add any value to the new revitalization of customer interest, employee morale and sales management support. I've experience in the past when a SJC company hits a rough spot, the CEO leads by example. In this case, the CEO kept securing his own salary while laying off key people needed to make this successful.
