Pros

Class A office space to work from but that's not enough to drown out the horror-show within.

Cons

- High churn rate (company was in business for 10 years but the most senior employee not including the owner had only been there for a year). - Owner takes on projects he doesn't have the resources or knowledge to solve. - Owner takes on projects from non-profits for community-centric-clout but can't deliver. - Owner constantly brings up his personal financial issues like having a mortgage to pay to qualify as a reason for not paying his employees their agreed upon wages. - Owner misses payroll constantly—requiring his senior developers to remind him every week to put enough money in the account so that his employees can be paid. - Owner tried to pay Full-time employees a part-time wage whilst requiring them to remain at the office 40-hours a week (was subsequently sued by the state). - Owner flaunts his 50+ credit cards he uses to float his debt to lower level employees.

Pros

Start-up environment feel at a company that's been around for 10+ years. Owner is innovative, flexible, ethical, and not afraid to be human. Collaboration is encouraged.

Cons

none - but not for you if you can't handle a fast paced, dynamic environment/workload

Pros

- Not Micro Managed - Given authority to try new things - Able to work from anywhere - Results Oriented - Opportunity to make good money if you perform - You see the inner workings of the business, the good and the bad I should note, a previous review spilled lies about the business and the owner. This is a Very Small Business. Everyone in the business knows who this was. Never any issue with getting paid on time (his bank had issues making deposits available, no one else had this issue). Everyone was afraid of being in the office alone with the former employee and had to 'team up' to make sure no one was alone while they were there. The former employee triggered a Labor review from the state which found the former employee lied on the state form while it was being investigated, the state found no violations of the company. What really hurt was the company had to become more strict on paperwork to document against future complaints, so the complaint only hurt current employees that were just doing their jobs.

Cons

- Very Small Business, limited advancement opportunity outside existing position - Being a Small Business, you get to know everyone personal whether you'd like to or not - Currently offering medical, would like to see more benefits - Limited Vacation - 12 paid days (but you can work from anywhere on a working vacation) - Owner owns a couple businesses, always on the road
