Pros

- The best commission scheme I've seen in an agency, I've earned more in my time here than I did in years during my last agency. You're incentivised constantly and they're always looking for more ways to do better by the team - Culture is protected. I've never worked in a business that truly cares about creating a place where everyone is happy, celebrated and included. - The directors go above and beyond to provide support personally and professionally. I constantly feel like they have my back and it's one of the reasons I love working here - Career progression is exceptional. They genuinely want people to succeed here and recognise the potential in people, creating new career frameworks to suit us (This is something I really valued and haven't had in my previous agencies before) I could go on and on about why I'd recommend working for Addition to anyone in the recruitment space as it's genuinely a business that deserves all the praise. If you're looking for somewhere where you can earn extremely good money, feel celebrated by your peers and supported by the SLT- I'd highly recommend working here. My advice would be, speak with any of the directors for more than 5 minutes and you'll see why they are deserving of all the positive reviews.

Cons

There's no cons of working here, all you need to do is reach out to any of us who work here and you'll see why Addition are so deserving of the praise they receive.

Pros

There could be a commission scheme in place, but this is often used as a form of control rather than a genuine reward. The same applies to most incentives they are introduced and withdrawn without warning or clear reasoning.

Cons

Many of the positive reviews appear VERY suspicious, as employees were pressured to post good reviews within days of each other. (Look at the suspicious dates) The management style is aggressive and unprofessional. Directors frequently use intimidation and verbal insults to control staff. The culture is fear-driven, with employees regularly reminded that they can “leave if they don’t like it.” Every KPI and metric is monitored under a microscope. If you are offline for more than five minutes, you are questioned about where you are. You are expected to work late every evening, and if you attempt to leave at the contracted time of 5:30, you are met with ridicule and verbal hostility from the directors. Punctuality is enforced to an unreasonable degree — being late by even a few seconds can result in being made to purchase breakfast for the entire office, often costing significant amounts of money. Refusal to comply leads to deductions from your pay. You are encouraged to use unethical recruitment practices, including misleading candidates or manipulating them into accepting offers. There is also a practice referred to internally as “sweeps”, where another team member calls your candidates to either push alternative offers or monitor their job search activity. Favouritism is very apparent, with certain individuals often fitting a particular demographic receiving preferential treatment and exclusive “one-to-one mentoring.” In practice, this involves directors directly assisting by sending CVs or managing parts of the process for them, resulting in sudden and unexplained deals appearing in their favour, while others are left sidelined and unsupported. Career progression is non-existent — you may receive a new title and higher targets, but there is no genuine development or support. If you fail to meet expectations, you will likely be placed on an unrealistic improvement plan as a pretext for dismissal. The general environment is unprofessional, with a party culture and behaviour that would raise serious ethical and legal concerns.
