Pros
I am a transplant from Michigan, and when I first relocated to Columbia I was applying EVERYWHERE! After almost a decade of working in restaurants, I knew that I needed something different. Marketing always seemed like it would be an awesome thing to get into, so I geared my job search in that direction. However, MARKETING is a tricky word that ended me a bunch of interviews with companies that wanted me to knock on people's doors or go business to business and they were generally all 100% commission. I'm sorry, but I have bills to pay, and if I don't sell enough, the bill collectors don't really care. They just want their money! Then I saw the ad for AMS. There it was in big bold letters! NOT DOOR TO DOOR, BUSINESS TO BUSINESS AND NOT 100% COMMISSION! I knew I found my match! The thing I loved best about first coming to AMS is that it is an entry level position and it didn't matter that I didn't have years of experience- they taught me everything I needed to know- and the company has lots of room for growth! Within 6 weeks I became an Account Manager. I didn't know it was possible to actually ENJOY going to work until I came here. Definitely a great place to work!
Cons
This is definitely not a normal 9 to 5 desk job, so if that's what you're looking for, you should probably look for something else.
