Pros

Hours were good or me, but not equitable across the staff. Many worked very light case loads ( 1 to 3, half das a week), while other more less favorable employees worked heavier case loads, more days. a week, and early morning starts working clear into the evening with not scheduled breaks.

Cons

Although pay was good for a small company, it was not up to par with the rest of the competitors in the state. Benefits were promoted as a great incentive but there were a lot of loop holes. Not all employees were required to travel. I didn't mind doing my part at all, but was not compensated above those who refused. Very shady business practices with large financial incentives paid to surgeons as a result of excessive out-of network billing to commercial insurance companies of which a large portion was kicked back to the surgeon to maintain his/her business. Very poor continuing education opportunities, if any at all. Many of the technologist were allowed to wear identifying company name tags stating fraudulent certifications (CNIM). When in fact, they had either not taken the National Exam or had failed it several times. The company has been involved in several lawsuits ranging from fraudulent business practices to sexual harassment in both Texas and Oklahoma (parent company is Monitoring Concepts in Dallas). Due diligence research of public records before accepting a position should be done! In addition, several good technologists resigned shortly after being hired over contracted salary, which was drastically cut once they had already resigned from their previous employer. I was personally sexually harassed by a member of upper level management on three separate occasions. There is no HR to report to and I did not file charges or take legal action for fear of retaliation. And I personally witnesses three other separate incidences of forceful sexual action by this same executive towards three other female employees at company dinners, holiday parties, etc. All of which involved pressure got heaving drinking and marijuana use that was all paid for by the company,
