Pros

Let’s face it, software development isn’t always a walk in the park. But we all love it or we wouldn't be doing it. Medical Software is complex and challenging beckoning the right people. The CTO has very successfully taken us from an archaic system to a more modern system on the latest and greatest technology, look, and feel. Frankly we wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for his leadership and guidance. I can say personally I wouldn’t have the professional growth without the mentoring. The CTO is always focused on what is best for the client while keeping the best balance with the employee happiness. Although sometimes this isn’t easy, I respect his decisions, management guidance, and overall vision for the company. If you like a challenge, work hard/play hard environment, and an opportunity for growth, AdvancedMD is the place to be. I love working with the people and look forward to coming to work.

Cons

I would like to see a better health vendor for reducing the cost of our health insurance. It lumps the health people with the not so healthy people.

Pros

I valued the opportunity to contribute to healthcare technology products that supported real users in complex workflows. The work was challenging in a good way and provided exposure to enterprise SaaS, patient engagement, accessibility, mobile design, design systems, research, and cross-functional collaboration. I worked with many thoughtful, talented people who cared about improving the customer and patient experience. For designers who enjoy solving complex problems, advocating for users, and working across product and engineering, the role offered meaningful opportunities to learn and contribute.

Cons

The environment could be complex and sometimes difficult to navigate, particularly when priorities shifted or alignment across teams was still forming. Like many mature software organizations, there were challenges related to legacy workflows, technical constraints, competing business needs, and varying levels of design maturity across product areas. Success often required patience, persistence, and the ability to communicate clearly with many different stakeholders.
